WHAT DOES THE BULB AFRICA DO?
The Bulb Africa™ is a talent incubator that connects Africans with global opportunities. Here is what The Bulb Africa does:
TECH EDUCATION (Known as The Bulb Institute)
The Bulb’s fellowship program, called Fellowship at The Bulb Africa, trains and empowers its Fellows using an excellent curriculum that offers real-world experience. The program is a six-month hands-on paid training that certifies African youths interested in software engineering careers.
Fellows are given the opportunity to build solutions for clients and provide managed services through outsourcing. The program is run by several dedicated and professional program managers that ensure its continuity, find partnerships, and build a community of alumni after the program.
NextGen is a 6-week virtual training program that unlocks creativity and innovation in pre-teens and teens. The program provides a personalized and gamified learning experience using a tailored syllabus for young learners that allows them to learn what they need at their own pace in a fun manner.
NextGen uses a project-based learning experience that provides the opportunity for learners to develop ways to solve real-world problems by building useful products. Taught by seasoned facilitators, the program covers courses like website design, product design, programming in python, etc.

a. The Incubator
The incubator is a program that takes ideas and turns them into business realities. The program finds some of the best ideas that will solve African challenges at an infancy stage and invest cash and time into the idea and the founders.
The incubator program allows The Bulb to nurture and mentor startups over extended periods (2–3 years). They provide ad-hoc help with legal and business services, as well as help turn a concept into something with a product-market fit.
