Fellows are given the opportunity to build solutions for clients and provide managed services through outsourcing. The program is run by several dedicated and professional program managers that ensure its continuity, find partnerships, and build a community of alumni after the program.

a. The Incubator

The incubator is a program that takes ideas and turns them into business realities. The program finds some of the best ideas that will solve African challenges at an infancy stage and invest cash and time into the idea and the founders.

The incubator program allows The Bulb to nurture and mentor startups over extended periods (2–3 years). They provide ad-hoc help with legal and business services, as well as help turn a concept into something with a product-market fit.

b. Accelerate by The Bulb

Accelerate by The Bulb Africa is a platform that focuses on equipping founders and budding entrepreneurs with the knowledge and experience that’s required to successfully navigate the tasks of building a valuable company. It includes:

  • 90-Day Academy for early-stage tech founders

  • Access to a global network of mentors, corporate partners, industry experts, and investors
  • Inclusive training model

c. Illuminate by The Bulb

Illuminate is a co-investment company that syndicates funds from angel investors, venture capital funds and large corporates to co-invest in remarkable early-stage tech businesses founded by quality founders that are solving Africa’s most critical problems.

Illuminate will leverage the unique and exclusive partnership of The Bulb Africa’s Accelerate Program to invest in capital-efficient technology-focused startups.
